So, here’s my story about trigger warnings. Please be advised that the story following could be triggering for some, especially if you’re triggered by mentions of blood/gore or death.

I saw my parents die in a fatal car accident. I was splattered with my mother’s blood. I had to sit in the same vehicle with their bodies for over an hour, because where the accident occurred was a half-hour drive from the nearest fire department.

Mr. Animals Talking in All Caps guy (yes, this is the guy who runs ATiAC), this is disgraceful. My experiences are not yours, and your experiences are not mine. We react to things differently. Yes, I get triggered if I see violent images at times, so trigger warnings are really nice. I am not a weaker person because of that. I’m glad you could recover from your triggers, but not all people have yet. I know in my case, it’s still a very fresh wound. It’d be most appreciated if you understood that.
